This small, unassuming restaurant located in the heart of Brookfield, Illinois has absolutely the most FANTASTIC "authentic" not fast Italian food there is! You must try it next time you are thinking of going out to eat.

 A best kept secret in Brookfield, IL, Giron's Italian Restaurant is small and unassuming. But don't let the looks fool you! I just got home from an evening where I had THE BEST fried chicken I have ever tasted. Ever! The coating was a wonderful mixture of seasonings and the tender chicken was so good that one couple vowed to travel from Oak Forest, IL for it.

Our party was large, at least 20 people, and we did a family-style platter pass around thing. First came the warm, straight-from-the-oven Italian bread. Imagine yourself drizzling some olive oil in the dish and sprinkling some parmesan cheese on that. Then dip the bread in it. OMG! Also, the mostaccioli and sauce was delish, and everyone loved the roast beef.

Our servers, Danielle ( I think) and David did a wonderful job keeping everyone satisfied, whether it be food or drink. I can't get the thought of the fried chicken out of my head, which sucks only because I think I found a new food addiction. :-) I'm in Lisle, so it's not too far a run for me. We gave the cook a round of applause because it was so well-deserved.

Oh, and the flat screen TV at the bar looked great from the far corner I was seated in. Yes, they have a bar too. Parking is plentiful and close.

I am updating my review after dinning in.  Everyone's review of the fried chicken is spot on.  If you remember Dav-N-Low chicken in Brookfield it's almost exactly the same which is awesome.  My mom had the ribs and they literally fell of the bone as she was eating them.  The fried ravioli app. is a must.

We ordered the pizza tonight one thin, and one stuffed.  The thin is good, the crust is a little thicker in the middle then I love but it is a great homemade crust.  They also bake the pizza until the cheese bubbles and turns brown which is a huge plus for me.

The stuffed was not the best we've ever had but average.  Not sure I would order the stuffed again but I am curious about the pan pizza.

The price is also right at $33 for a 14" thin cheese and a 18" stuffed sausage, they also put coupons on their website and menus.

Excellent food at very reasonable prices. We love the pizza, ribs, and any of the chicken dishes. The hot bread out of the oven is great-just wish we didn't have to wait so long for it to come out
